A Chemical Peel isn’t as scary as it sounds, we promise!

The words “Chemical Peel” can be intimidating if you don’t understand the treatment process. We are here to help you understand the procedure and the benefits. We provide multiple strengths of chemical peels and a highly qualified Aesthetician who will assess your skin and determine the proper strength to meet your aesthetic goals.

Chemical peels often get confused with the common skin care mask.  A mask is typically applied to the skin, allowed to sit/dry and then peeled off.  They are often thick and can be done in a spa or at home. A medical grade chemical peel is a clear acid (such as glycolic or lactic) that is applied to the skin, and left to dry. These should only be applied by a licensed Aesthetician in a medical setting.  The acid breaks down the old skin and the peeling or shedding of the skin usually occurs 2 to 3 days after the treatment. The amount of peeling and days is determined by the strength, and desired outcome. The lower strengths produce a gentle peel. Higher strengths have a more aggressive peel. All peels encourage new skin to grow under the old, and when complete, you will see an improved complexion. Chemical peels can lighten brown spot and improve your skin tone leaving it brighter. The stronger strength peels can help reduce acne scars and the appearance of brown spots caused by sun damage.
